Pack of Silver
Welcome to our home, traveler. I am Arian Leinin, but to most I am Silver Lines, and it is for me that this pack is named. Tread carefully . . . Not all are as friendly to strangers as I.
As you may have guessed, I am the alpha of this pack. I have chosen no mate, as no male has caught my eye, but I and my brother fare well enough in our forest.
Let me tell you of our territory. It is quite small currently, with two neighboring packs larger than ours, but someday we will outnumber them and they will cower at our feet like the mutts and half-breeds they are. We have only half of a medium-sized forest, but it is enough to feed the small number of wolves that live here. The trees are pine, and it snows almost year-round.
The prey is moose and elk, if you're brave enough to risk injury or death, and hares and other small animals.
We have rules, as well.
Our rules are as follows.
1-
Always obey an alpha. To disobey may mean maiming or even death, and to have your rank stripped until you are the lowest omega.
2-
The feedings order is alphas, betas and pregnant or nursing mothers, deltas, regularly ranking wolves, trainees, and then omegas. To eat before your turn, without permission, means that you will go hungry that night.
3-
Never back down unless you will die if you fight. If there is even the smallest chance of winning, you fight. Back down and you loose rank, as well as going hungry for two days.
4-
To advance in the ranks, you have to challenge and defeat whoever currently holds the title. Then, the alpha will decide whether you're worthy of the position. Alphas cannot be challenged.
Not many rules, but we do add to them if we must.
