Every story has an end. But that doesn't mean the story is done.
In the book known as Watership Down, a group of rabbits have been thriving greatly. They have had a few losses, but the constant birth of kits keeps the numbers up and above, keeping their Warren thriving.
Their world is seemingly perfect, is it not? Frith watches over them with a calm, gentle gaze, while the Black Rabbit of Inle spares the rabbits with swift and painless deaths when their times come. But we're not focusing on the Down rabbits, far in their hills.
We're watching some rabbits who live in a Park. Or, at one point they did. They had lived in this place peacefully for generations upon generations, caring for one another and eating in the grass. However, a danger has befallen them.
Not too long ago, the Men came in and destroyed the place, forcing the rabbits to flee. They found a safe wood at the edge of the park and made a temporary burrow there, vowing to come back and re-make their own Warren once the noise stopped and the Men went away.
When they came back, the rabbits found a small town being built. Even though there were men all over the place, young and old, the Rabbits kept to their vow. They found a house with a particularly large backyard, and waited. The Man that lived there planted a few full-grown bushes in the corners of the yard and the rabbits begun their digging under the cover of the leaves.
Soon, a full Warren was built under the house and the Man did not know a thing. The does kept giving birth, and thus the Warren kept getting larger and larger with each litter born. The rabbits have learned how to survive in this unnatural place; However, how long they can keep up this pace depends on how well they really have adapted.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rabbits live in a small town, at the area just before the outskirts (click here to see the image). They live below a bush, as stated above; The hole starts just in front of the roots, though the tunnels spread far out under the ground.
The house they live behind has a few pets. Here's a list:
~2 Hutch-Rabbits~
Sweet (F) {Californian Rabbit}
Twinkle (M) {Unknown Breed}
~1 Dog~
Buddy (M) {Black Labrador}
~1 cat~
Berry (F) {Abyssinian}
The house they live in is fairly large and looks like this.
There's one male; He's calm and rarely even notices the rabbits in his yard, assuming they're just outside from some warren somewhere else. In the winter he leaves food for the rabbits briefly, but when the weather gets warmer he stops giving food to them.
The woman is very restless and is concerned that the rabbits will become an infestation. She's always trying to shoo the rabbits off with a broom in hand, often shouting to seal the deal. Due to her always doing this, it no longer scares the rabbits unless she startles them.
There's one female child who is usually outside trying to locate the rabbits. She's been known to reach out and touch the rabbits, cooing gentle words and marveling at them. She is especially addicted to petting the kittens, who are absolutely terrified of the girl.
::Rabbits of the Warren::
-The Rah-
Inhlain-Rah
The leader of the Warren.
A healthy buck.
Name meaning: Moon-Song
-Owsla-
The Owsla is a male-only group.
This rank fights for the safety of the Warren, and are given more privilages than the other Rabbits of the warren.
Owsla-Rabbits are often guards when they are not training kittens, or jousting for mates.
-Rabbits-
These rabbits are your general Warren civilian, Doe and Buck alike.
These usually have no purpose but to mate and keep watch for the other rabbits for any danger the Owsla guards may have missed.
-Mothers-
These are specifically Does that are pregnant or nursing kittens.
They usually have their own burrow that they dug before the litter was born. They rarely let Bucks in, but they do let other Does in.
-Kittens-
Kittens are baby Rabbits.
They have no true purpose, other than to suckle and grow from their furless, blind little selves into full-blown rabbits. Kittens of the Owsla are usually a little more welcomed into the world than kittens born without the privileged father, even though the difference between celebrations are very small.
::Help::
Lapine~The language
Having your character speak Lapine is completely optional. However, it is greatly preferred your character has a Lapine name (It can be a combination of words; For instance, "Threarlay," which is a mix of "Threar" and "Thlay," thus it roughly means "Rowan Fur").
